Located in the Bay of Plenty, it has approximately 2500 equivalent full time students and over 300 staff. The main campus, Mokoia, is located in Rotorua and there are satellite campuses at Whakatane, Tokoroa and Taupo.

Offers degrees in Business, Nursing, Midwifery, Media Arts, Information Technology and Sport Studies. Most students are enrolled in programmes that offer degree, diploma or certificate qualifications.

WelTec is the largest polytechnic in the Wellington region, and is dedicated to providing excellence in applied, technical, and professional education and training.

Has teaching departments organized into five faculties: Business Studies; Nursing and Health Studies; Art and Humanities; Te Wananga Maori and Technology. Programmes are up-to-date and well resourced.

Whitireia's programmes are organised into ten schools as follows: Arts, Business and Management, Catering and Horticulture, Computing, Further Education, Te W?nanga M?ori, Nursing and Health Studies, Office Systems and Tourism, Teacher Education and Training and Technology. Over 60 full-time programmes are available. Many programmes can be taken part-time and Whitireia also has short courses of community interest.

Campus is situated in the Central Plateau and offers programmes in the fields of: Business Studies; Nursing and Health Studies; Art and Humanities; Te Wananga Maori and Technology.
